A gown i made for Halloween 2007 using Butterick pattern #3552. It's made of Kona Cotton and has contrast lining in the sleeves. Took me about 7 hours to sew and about 2 hours to cut out all of the pieces. I also skipped some steps (for example i chose not to line the entire gown). The pattern itself was easy to understand and this is probably the first project i've completed without having to rip out at least one seam
Also, for those interested, i used size 8 with no alterations and it fits me very well.
It's not hard at all sweety...all you need is a sewing machine, a pattern, some fabric and a brain The most challenging thing for me has been when the instructions in the pattern are not worded well and are hard to understand. But i eventually figure it out - i know you could too!
